Year 5/6 Excursion to Narrandera
Students in Year 5/6 will travel to Narrandera on Friday the 3rd of December.
This day excursion is in leiu of the bi-annaul Canberra excursion which, due to COVID-19, has been cancelled for the last two years.
Students will participate in an indigenous experience at "Sandhills Artefacts" with Michael Lyons. This experience will include a visit to Koori Beach to explore shelter trees and bush tucker, listening to dream time stories, some aboriginal painting and a tour of the artifacts in the studio. It includes an indigenous morning tea of Wattleseed and Lemon Myrtle cake.
This fabulous experience will be followed by a visit to the Lake Talbot Pool for a swim, use of the water slide and lunch.

Transport |
The bus will leave the front of the school at 7:30am sharp, please have your child at school by 7.15am. The bus will return to St Mary's between 5pm and 5.30pm. Parents will be advised of the arrival time via SeeSaw. |
What to Wear and What to Bring |
What to Wear Comforatable casual clothes with ENCLOSED shoes for walking (eg joggers) and a hat. What to Bring Swimmers & Towel Sunscreen, Thongs (optional for pool only) Change of underwear Water Bottle Morning & Afternoon tea/snacks/fruit Lunch or money to buy lunch (a menu will be sent home with your child) |
Cost |
$40 which includes the Indigenous experience and entry to the pool and slides. The cost of transport is covered by St Mary's School. Permission and payment via QKR! |
