St Patrick's Day
St Mary's had a great day celebrating St Patrick’s day on Thursday the 17th of March.
The students learnt all about St Patrick and why he is the Patron Saint of Ireland.
Everyone wore green clothes, ate green food - some of it healthy as Year 1 Joy enjoyed green fruit and veges in their class. Students had a lolly guessing competition to raise money for schools in the Lismore Diocese who have been affected by the recent floods. The winners of the lolly guessing competition were Marlee Wendt and Harry Carne.
Thank you Mrs Cuthbertson for organising the day and to our parents who prepared food and helped in the canteen. Our Year 6 leaders were also a wonderful help!

Bullying No Way
Last Friday the children and staff wore orange casual clothes to acknowledge ‘Bullying No Way Day’! The theme this year was ‘Kindness Culture’. St Mary’s is renowned for its Kindness culture.
In the afternoon the students worked in their K-6 MJR groups for the first time in over a year. They made the word 'Kind' with their bodies, shared discussion around what kindness means and how we can continue to spread kindness in our school and wider community.
The children made chatterboxes with kind, positive affirmations and finished by dancing to Bruno Mars 'Count on me'.
Well done to all our Year 6 leaders who offered great peer support within their MJR groups. Thank you to our mums who made orange treats to sell at the canteen.
