A Message from our Principal
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we extend a warm welcome to 6 guests who will lead St Mary’s through the Registration and School Improvement process. Brenda Foley, Brad Gaynor, Margaret Pollard, Lee Herden, Patrick Ellis and Rachel Smith will join us from Catholic Education Canberra & Goulburn. As the name suggests, there will be a check of compliance requirements, however the major focus of the visit will be to assist in future directions to enhance school improvement. Students will engage with their lessons as normal and panel members will work with all staff at different times from Tuesday, Wedneday and Thursday to experience the school and provide future recommendations.
This Wednesday marks the day that students will wear full winter uniform. Long pants or tartan skirts will replace shorts and skorts. The change also includes wearing our ties, which are available at the school office if your child requires a new one.
Over the next two weeks we will be inviting students, teachers and parents to provide feedback on their experience of our school using an online survey. The surveys are an important part of our whole school evaluation and planning process.
We would like to invite you to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of parents and carers within our school community we would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at St Mary's.
The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. The survey will close on Friday 10th June. You are able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using the URL: http://tellthemfromme.com/smwms
God Bless,
Phil Nielsen
