Our school counsellor has advised St Mary's of a webinar for parents on helping their children with positive social skills.
The webinar is tomorrow but parents can still register at the link below.
Social skills webinar
Positive social skills help children get along with others and make friends, but children don’t always know when or how to use social skills. If you can recognise when your child needs help and give them the opportunity to practise their social skills, it can make a big difference.
In this webinar, we’ll explain:
- why social skills are important
- when your child might need help with social skills
- how you can help your child develop positive social skills
- where to go for extra help.
If you have a child aged 3-11 years, this webinar is suitable for you.
In the webinar, you’ll be able to ask questions, share experiences and hear other parents’ experiences and ideas.
Presented by: Daniel Peyton
As a paediatrician, Daniel is passionate about helping children reach their potential. He’s particularly interested in helping parents support their children and is currently researching how to better help parents find online support for children’s mental health.
When: Tuesday 6 September 2022, 7 pm AEST or at these times in other states.
Duration: 40 minutes, followed by a 20-minute question and answer session
