St Mary's Prays
Building Character & Resilience Program
Starting this Friday students will be placed into different groups made up of students from Year 6 to Kinder. They will come together to be introduced to a new 'character virtue' or 'good habit' through the Building Character & Resilience Program. This will provide students with practical and helpful knowledge to help them grow into kind but strong personalities. The aim of this program is to enable students to thrive in adversity with the ability to make positive contributions to the world around them.
Within the groups they will be provided with a simple explanation of the 'character virtue' or 'good habit' and with a practical example of how students can practice it day to day. Over the course of the year, the Building Character & Resilience Program will introduce students to 48 good habits or virtues in one of four core areas of character:
- Respect and Responsibility
- Sound Judgement
- Self-Mastery
- Courage and Strength
