Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Week 7. This week presents another busy week for St Mary’s with our Intensive Swimming Program being held. Thanks again to the community Council for their generous donation toward the cost of this vital program. Please ensure students come to school with everything required for the program. In particular their hats, sunscreen and swimmers. Please ensure every article of clothing is clearly labelled to ensure all misplaced items are returned to their owner. In the event of thunderstorms, we will have to cancel our session. This will be communicated to you as soon as possible via text. Fingers crossed this won’t eventuate.

Week 9 will see our leadership program for 2024 begin. Our Year 5 students who wish to nominate for school captain will present their speeches on why they would make a good school captain in front of years 2-5. As it is a small cohort, we will still have two school captains, however they won’t necessarily be a male and female. After the voting of the school captain a decision will be made on how sports captains will be decided upon.

The executive team at St Mary’s have been busy finalising staffing for 2024. With a few more pieces of the puzzle coming together over the next few weeks we look forward to announcing each class’s teacher. Thank you for your patience.

On the 28^th of November we will be holding our Thank You morning tea for all who have volunteered their time to make St Mary’s such a fabulous place for our students.
