Canberra Goulburn Athletics

After a timing malfunction at the Western Region Carnival in Temora Indi and Meila Fair’s times for the 1500m were not recorded. They were asked to run again to see if their times were quick enough to qualify for Sydney in the Canberra Goulburn Athletics Team (the 1500m is not run at the Archdiocesan carnival in Canberra). They did this yesterday and beat their new school record times that were recorded back in May. Their new times are below!! Amazing effort girls!!!

Good luck to Will McDonell and Reni Wendt who have also qualified alongside the girls to represent the Western Region at the Canberra Goulburn Athletics Carnival in Canberra on the 27th of August. We’re so lucky to have such tremendous athletes at St Mary’s.
