The popular TV series ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ is a well-known Australian show, however it appears the show is global.  Our St Mary’s school building and grounds became the backdrop of the Danish version of Farmer Wants a Wife.   Danish born and breed Christian Trojel, who has been in West Wyalong for quite some time, owns a farm in the area and is the reason for the shows visit to the town.  While the students were not filmed, they were extremely intrigued with the film crew and how a TV show is put together.  Unfortunately, footage of the scene might be a bit difficult to get our hands on as the show will be shown on a Danish TV channel with the participants speaking Danish for the show.  The crew were very grateful for the use of our school and we were just as grateful to get some insight into the TV industry and to get some excitement into the school.
