St Mary's says thank you to our parents who took the time to arrange and participate in Parent Teacher interviews.  It is very important for parents to be informed of their child's progress at school.

  

St Mary's says thank you to Sam Koop, our school captain, for writing a very informative piece for The Advocate.  Sam wrote about his experiences at St Mary's which was a wonderful promotion for our school.

Please note that we are holding only one session on Tuesday at 11.30am.

We look forward to seeing interested parents at the Parish Centre and will provide morning tea afterward.

This year the UNSW ICAS assessments are online and will be held in August.

Participation in these assessments is at parents discretion.  There is no obiligation for your children to sit these assessments as they are not used in the schools reporting.

The ICAS assessments are suitable for students wishing to extend themselves academically and take up the personal challenge of competing in an international assessment.  Your child will be presented with high-quality, expert-developed questions, allowing them to apply their learning without the need for prior study or revision.  Every student will receive a printed certificate and an online result report. Top performers will be eligible for medals and are invited to attend special award ceremonies to have their academic excellence publicly recognised.

Cost for EACH assessment is $15.95.  Please note that writing is not available this year.

Assembly

Year 5/6 Maths

Our Year 5/6 learning about integers, money and recording information on number lines.  Each received a 'job' and some pay. Through the maths lesson students had to work out how much money they owed in bills and then make a decision on which extras they wanted to buy from Bank of Jackson McGee.  All the students had fun connecting Maths to real life situations - maybe we should all revisit that!

Building Works

On Monday we had an amazing concrete pumping truck completing the building foundations.
