Dear Parents and Carers,
Our Mission statement begins with:
“In partnership with families, we are committed to educating children who are….”
As we begin week 8 of Term 3, we also begin week 3 of remote learning and it appears this statement is significantly relevant at this time. I must continue to thank you for the commitment and support you are showing your children and our great school. We believe with your partnership we can continue to offer a high level of education to our students.
The focus for the first 2 weeks has been participation and engagement. Our teaching staff are now confident that their students are familiar with the processes and procedures for our remote learning program. Teachers will now begin to implement independent activities that require a deeper level of thinking.
The next few weeks will be a juggling act of providing challenging activities to extend learning while ensuring the activities are achievable in a remote learning setting. If you find the work set is too difficult for your child/ren in this setting, please don’t hesitate to communicate to the teachers through SeeSaw. Any feedback they receive will help in the planning of future lessons and this partnership will ensure your children remain engaged while being challenged at the same time.
Thank you again for your support,
Take Care,
Phil Nielsen
Principal
We wish all our dads, granddads and great granddads a wonderful day on Sunday the 6th of September. Happy Father's Day.
