Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Olga Scott who passed away this week. Olga turned 101 last month.
Olga devoted much of her life to charity work, such as the CWA, Royal Far West and the Catholic Women's League, she was a remarkable person and will be sadly missed by her family and the community.
Mk 12:28-34
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark
One of the scribes came up to Jesus and put a question to him, ‘Which is the first of all the commandments?’ Jesus replied, ‘This is the first: Listen, Israel, the Lord our God is the one Lord, and you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You must love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.’
In Sunday’s reading we were reminded that we are called to love God above all things and to love our neighbour as ourself. As today is All Saints Day, we can look to our Faith’s great heroes and heroines who each in their own way witnessed to the love of Christ through the inspiring actions of their lives.
One recently beatified woman who loved God with all her heart, soul, mind and strength was Blessed Sandra Sabatini. Despite dying in a car accident at just 22, she devoted her short yet beautiful life to service of others by helping and providing care for the poor and disabled in her local community. She once wrote in her journal to:
“Love everything you do. Love deeply the minutes you live, which you are allowed to live. Try to feel the joy of the present moment, whatever it is, to never miss the connection.”
Let us pray:
They left their mark on the earth for you, for us, for our children to come. Thank you, God, for the tremendous sacrifices made by those who have gone before us. Bless the memories of your saints, God. May we learn how to walk wisely from their examples of faith, dedication, worship, and love.
Amen

WATER SKILLS | Children are now displaying correct freestyle techniques. We start to advance the distances of swimming to 15 metres. Backstroke is also introduced along with more advanced skills and drills to refine the child’s stroke and to continue water confidence. |

Squad training has various levels. Re-enforcing the core swimming skills over a longer distances of 25m. Their dedication to the vocation as a teacher is outstanding and helps shape our young people for the future.
