Last Wednesday we commemorated All Souls Day which is a day of prayer and remembrance for the faithful departed.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Canberra Goulburn Cricket Trials
Last Friday Freddie Bell and Alan McCoullough left our Year 5/6 Canberra excursion early to try out for the Canberra Goulburn cricket team for 2023.
All reports indicate that both boys played very well against some well drilled and experienced players. Freddie and Alan enjoyed the contest and played with enthusiasm but unfortunately were not chosen to try out at the next level.
Well done boys.

School Intensive Swimming Program 2022
Planning is underway for St Mary’s Intensive Swimming Program. All students are encouraged to participate in this program. Swimming is very much a part of the Australian lifestyle and a high level of swimming ability and knowledge and skill in water safety is not only highly desirable but could be life saving.
The program will run over five days, from Monday the 21st of November to Friday the 25th of November. The program will be implemented by qualified instructors employed by the L&R Group from the Holland Park Swim Centre to meet the needs of the K - 6 PDHPE syllabus. Class teachers will attend to supervise.
The primary aim is to develop each child’s swimming ability. The program will offer the following skill levels:
HARP SEALS |
This level is for beginners. Children who have little to no swimming ability and/or experiences. |
LEOPARD SEALS |
This level is for children who can propel themselves through the water independently but have yet to develop correct freestyle swimming. |
WEDDELL SEALS |
This level is for children who can swim independently for 15m-25m who need stroke development. |
GREY SEALS |
This is our school squad level and is for swimmers who can swim 50m freestyle. Other strokes will be developed. |
The students will be placed in groups depending on their level of ability as advised by parents. Students will be assessed on the first day to make sure they are in the correct group.
Students not attending the program will be supervised at school and set appropriate literacy learning activities.
PLEASE LOGON TO COMPAS TO GIVE CONSENT AND PAY FOR OUR INTENSIVE SWIMMING PROGRAM.
Jagger Lange, Will Stokes, Alan McCoullough, Harrison Chantrill, Alex Crerar and Lilly Robertson

We hope you enjoy your special day.
