Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to Week 4, another busy week at St Mary’s. On Sunday our Year 5 and 6 students received the Sacrament of Confirmation at a beautiful ceremony at the newly refurbished church at St Mary’s. Archbishop Christopher Prowse administered the Sacrament and commented on how nice all the students looked and how well prepared they were. Many thanks to Mrs Breust for all her organisation and to Mrs Taylor for preparing the students so superbly.
Last Thursday our K-2 students travelled to Wagga to watch the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre’s performance of Grug. I would like to commend the students on their exemplary behaviour. I would also like to thank all staff for accompanying the students and for the effort and organisation that went into this wonderful experience.
Well done to Mae Dean in Year 3 and Maive Stewart in Year 5 who represented St Mary’s last Friday at the Western Region public speaking competition. The girls did extremely well against excellent competition.
Last week we welcomed students from Bland Preschool. It was lovely to have the children here and we hope they enjoyed their time with us. We look forward to some of them returning in 2025.
On Thursday our school photos will be taken. A reminder to send your child to school looking their best with a clean, neat and tidy uniform. Ties and jumpers are to be worn.
A reminder that the “Tell them from Me” survey opened last week. If you have not completed it yet, please do so at your earliest convenience. The survey can be accessed via this link or the QR code below.
Remember my door is always open.

A special thank you to Fr Dominic, Mr Collins, Mrs Taylor, Mrs Turner, Mrs Daniher and Mrs Akehurst for their support on the day. A big shout out to the French Hot Bread Bakery for the delicious and beautifully decorated cake enjoyed by all to celebrate this special occasion.
