A reminder that winter uniforms and ties need to be worn from Monday 3rd June.  Students also need to move from shorts/skorts to long pants or skirts and tights.

Ties are available from the school office for the price of $16.00.

Hats are now worn all year round.

Year 1/2 science Inquiry project

Congratulations to all students who have presented their mixing project.

Your work is amazing and you are so clever.

If you haven’t had an opportunity to present yet please know Mrs Akehurst will be at PD on Tuesday so if you could save your work to week 7 please.

Volunteers for Athletics Carnival events

We still need a few helpers to assist with timing on the track.  If you can help please call the office.

Arrangements for St Mary's athletics carnival on Thursday 6th June 2019

Students in Kinder and Year 1 will have recess at school at 11am and then walk to McAlister Oval to participate in races and games.  Those who are not being picked up by parents at the ground will be escorted back to St Mary's in time for the afternoon bell and buses.

Students from Year 2 to Year 6 have advised the school they will either get off buses at the public school stop (there will be a teacher on duty there), be dropped at the Oval by parents or come to school as normal and walk to the Oval accompanied by a teacher.  The afternoon dismissal will work in reverse with students not going home with parents being accompanied to the public school bus stop or back to St Mary's after the carnival. 

Children should wear house coloured t-shirs and their sports clothes.

Thank you to those parents who have indicated they are able to assist on the day in the field.

Champion trophies and ribbons will be presented to students at assembly on the 14th of June.

Mortimer Shield Year 5 and 6

On Wednesday, students from years 5 and 6 travelled to Young to participate in the Mortimer Shield rugby League and League Tag competition.

The boys competed in four games, being narrowly defeated while the girls played two games, winning their first match 9-1 and missing out on their second.

Both teams are to be congratulated on their efforts and sportsmanship despite the freezing conditions.

Thank you to our coaches Grant Pettit and Jodie McDonell as well as parents for travelling with students.

On photo day children must wear their full winter uniform with the top button closed and a tie.  This means for boys long grey pants, grey socks, polished black shoes, shirt and tie and the polar fleece.  Girls in long blue pants and blue socks or checked skirt and blue stockings, polished black shoes, shirt and tie and the polar fleece.

Athletics Carnival Canteen Pre-Orders

We are operating a canteen at the school athletics carnival selling hot food, snacks and drinks.

It is necessary to PRE-ORDER the hot food for your child.

Please supply a lunch bag with your child's order (from the list below) and money to the school office before next Friday 30 May.

You do not need to pre-order the snacks or drinks.

Volunteers Required for Roster this Term

The canteen needs volunteers for Friday 14 June, Friday 28 June and Friday 5 July.  We have one parent rostered on all three days but they will require help.
