Students are reminded that there will be no more library book borrowing.

All books should be returned to the library by Friday 6 December.

Our school will perform two songs at the West Wyalong Carols by Candlelight on Sunday 15th of December.

If your child would like to participate in our school performance please meet at Barnardo Park at 7pm.  We are usually one of the first schools to perform.

Ms Rachel Sheridan our counsellor for Term 4 will be visiting our school next week on Tuesday 3rd December.

 If you would like to make a confidential appointment for your child please contact the office.

This will be her final visit for the year.

The lost property box has a large number of items including polar fleeces and lunch boxes with no name.

Could you please have your children check the lost property or you are most welcome to visit the school and check yourself.

On the final day of school any unlabelled items will be disposed off or included in the second hand collection.

On Wednesday Sergeant Mark Griffith and Kate Carey conducted an information session on cyber awareness with Year 5/6 and then with parents in the evening.

It was highly informative and engaging.

As you can see, the parents were able to get on their devices and learn how to navigate further to protect themselves and their children.

ThinkUKnow, who partner with NSW Police, provided some parent fact sheets.  ThinkUKnow are a free, evidence-based cyber safety program that provides presentations to Australian parents, carers and teachers and students.

Our Year 6 Graduation Mass will be held on Tuesday 17th December at 12.30pm.

We welcome parents and friends to attend.

West Wyalong High School Orientation Day

Thursday 5 December from 9.30am

For students attending the high school or still undecided.

All other students should attend school as normal.

CANTEEN SPECIAL ORDER DAY

LAST DAY OF TERM 4

On Wednesday 18 December the canteen will sell Special Order lunches.

The special lunch will be a hot dog and lucky dip ice block for $4 with optional garlic bread at 50 cents for 2 pieces.

Extra Hot Dogs will cost $2.50, just add to order.

Please complete a brown lunch bag with your child's name, class, order and money and return to the school office by Friday 13th December.

The normal menu will not be available for lunch orders.  If you do not order the special lunch please make sure you send lunch with your child/ren.

Recess, lunch time treats and drinks will still be sold, however slushies will not be available.

Canteen Roster

Please see the roster below.  A extra volunteer for Friday 6th and Friday 13th December would be appreciated.  A volunteer is needed for Monday 9th December but we can close on this day of needed.  Please let the office know if you can fill one of these days.

Canteen Volunteers 2020

We are looking for more volunteers for the canteen and baking roster for 2020.

Melissa Westaway is co-ordinating the Canteen Roster via the P&F Facebook Page.  Please help if you can, our volunteers are our life blood and we apprecaite your help.

If you are not on Facebook please contact the school office and we can forward requests and days to Melissa.

Our Kinder, Year 1 and Year 2 students visited the Bland Shire Library today for Love Your Library Week.

As a special treat, Steph Cook the State Member for Cootamundra, read an inspiring Christmas story which kept the entire room entranced.

The Bland Shire commented that the St Mary's children were attentive and enthusiastic.  It is good to know that our children love the library and hearing stories.

HELP - Props Required

We would love some help to source items for the school play - could all parents check the toy box and cupboards for the following items:

• string of plastic sausages, or singles we can join up
• Rubik's Cube
• Toy Whipper Snipper or hedge cutter
• Decorative plastic goblet style wine glasses - coloured or clear.  Need lots of those please.

Please bring these to the school office - it would be much appreciated!
