Our prayer this week we give thanks and ask for the Lord’s blessing on each of our families at St Mary’s.
Dear Lord,
Bless and be with our families at St Mary’s
From the Youngest to the Oldest
Lightning up relationships
Sowing grace into their troubles
Bless and be with our families at St Mary’s
Weaving Love into their work, rest and play.
It is with many thanks Dear Lord we pray.
Amen
Parents of Kinder students are reminded that there are three more rest days - Wednesday the 12th,19th and 26th of February.
Our Kinder students get very tired and this break will help them to remain keen and focused.
FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE TO WALKING PROCEDURE
Due to the building work at the school the procedure for children walking home has changed. The laneway leading to the southern end of town (cricket pitch end) has become the access point for machinery and heavy vehicles. Therefore students walking to the southern end of town can leave the school from the Church Street entry (netball court) or the England Street bus stop area.
Please note that students walking home are not permitted to walk through the Church carpark lane. Students may only enter the church carpark with their parents. The school has a teacher on lawn duty to monitor student pickup in this area.
Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
There is parking in the church carpark and on Church Street for dropping off children.
Getting to Know Your Child Interviews
Getting to Know Your Child interviews are held each year for parents of students in Year 1 to Year 6.
These interviews are held in Term 1 to enable parents to speak about their child's routines, strengths and where they might require some help. Please note at this point in the year teachers are not in the position to give feedback on student's results.
A booking form link will be sent on Monday to all parents via text to their mobile phone number. If you do not recieve this text please contact the office so we can check our contact information.
These interviews will be held on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th of February from 3.30pm. However 1/2 Joy will be held on Tuesday the 18th from 3.30pm and Wednesday the 19th from midday.
Look out for the text on Monday to book your interview.
