As we continue our journey through Lent, let us remember the importance of serenity.
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change.
The courage to change the thing I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is;
Not as I would have it;
Trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with You
forever in the next.
Amen

Candy Stripe Fair Permission Note
Local Permission (Walking) Note
At times during the school year your child/ren will participate in off premises cultural and sporting learning activities within walking distance of the school.
For example Book Week at the Bland Shire Library, performances at the S&C Club, training at the stadium or Perseverance Oval.
As part of St Mary's "duty of care" responsibility, risk assessment documents must be submitted to Catholic Education Office Canberra Goulburn for these events. As most of these excursions are low key, for a short duration and do not require monetary payment, parents are notified of the actual date, time and event via the newsletter.
This permission note covers your child/ren attending these events for the 2020 school year.
If at any time you do not wish your child to attend an event off premises, after specific notification, please contact the school.
Please click on this link Local Excursions (Walking) - Permission Note 2020 to complete the note.
Archdiocesan Representative Sport 2020
REPRESENTATIVE TEAM SPORT
If your Year 5/6 child has the ability to compete at a representative level in the following sports - Cricket, Basketball, Tennis, Netball, Rugby League, Football (Soccer), Hockey, Softball, Touch Football and Rugby Union - you are able to nominate them for the Archdiocesan trials.
Please note that the Archdicocesan representative sport trials are highly competitve and there is an expection that children nominating for these trials have extensive experience in the sport and currently compete at a high level.
The nomination and payment is now done on-line. Please click on the links below for the sports website and for instructions. Once you have nominated your child, approval to participate will come from Mr Nielsen. Please contact the school office if you are unsure.
CARNIVAL QUALIFICATION
Additionally online registration for Archdiocese of Canberra Goulburn carnivals such as Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics will be available on-line. If you qualify at Western Region for the Archdiocesan event then the school will notify you so you can do an on-line entry.
Our school currently has a student enrolled who has a compromised immune system and is more vulnerable to disease than other students. Therefore, it is important that you do not send your children to school if they are unwell.
Your child should also stay at home if they have any infectious disease, coughs, runny noses, a temperature, diarrhoea or other infections. For more information about how long an illness is contagious, contact your GP or visit the NSW Health website at health.nsw.gov.au.
The Department of Education and Training collect student residential addresses for all non-goverment schools. The purpose of this collection is to help in calculating the needs-based funding arrangements for non-government schools.
Please note that student names will be 'de-indentified'.
The following links will help you understand the details of the collection.
P & F Meeting Wrap Up
Our first P&F meeting was held last night the 20th of February.
It was lovely to see some new faces at the table, Brodie Greenwood and Kate Braunberger. Thank you for coming and we look forward to more new faces next time.
The meeting was very informative discussing the P&F constitution and how our main aim is to support the school's annual improvement plan. Any fundraising we do is to help our students and our lovely school.
Discussions were held around fundraising events for this year. Any new ideas and suggestions are most welcome.
We look forward to our next meeting on Thursday 7th of May at 7pm.
Free Sipah's during Healthy Harold
On Wednesday the P&F organised free Sipah's for our students.Canteen Roster Volunteers
