Dear Parents and Carers

Today is an exciting day for St Mary's West Wyalong.  At 9:05 am we launched our whole school remote learning solution.

All students now have access to a day of activities set by their classroom teacher using the Seesaw App.

Remember teachers will be available from 9.00am to 3.00pm, on school days, to comment on student work and to assist with any problems that present over the day. To communicate with teachers we ask you to use the Seesaw app or email.

Please be advised the school office will remain open for the foreseeable future.

We expect this process to evolve over the next few weeks and any feedback would be much appreciated. If you are feeling overwhelmed please take a break and contact the school or your classroom teacher.

Please stay attuned to your childrens mental health.  How they felt during this time will stay with them long after the memory of what they did during those weeks is long gone.

Dear Lord,

I know You receive what is in my heart.

Let me be inspired by Your words and by the actions of Your son, Jesus.

Guide me to make sacrifices this Lent in the spirit of self-denial and with greater attention to You and to those around me.

Help me to believe that You will grant me this becasue of the sacrifice Jesus made for me.

We wish our groundsman Tony Glasgow a speedy recovery from his recent operation.

Mrs Emma McRae our counsellor will still be visiting our school next week on Wednesday the 1st of April.

At this time Emma will be holding her counselling sessions via video conference.

CARITAS PROJECT COMPASSION 2020

   

   

Tawonga is a 10-year-old girl, living with a disability. She lives in a village in northern Malawi in a region plagued by food insecurity and poverty. For most of her life, her parents have struggled to put meals on the table. Tawonga often had to miss school because she was too sick from hunger. The family also faced discrimination in their community due to her disability. Since participating in a Caritas Australia supported program, Tawonga’s life has transformed. Her family now grows enough food to provide three meals a day, ending the struggle of malnutrition, and helping her thrive at school.
