A Message From Our Principal -
Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to welcome everyone back to St Mary’s, I hope all our students had a wonderful break and are ready for a huge term of learning. While learning has long been the driving force of this great school, other extra curricula events planned for this term include, the school disco, Trent Barrett Shield, Western Region Public Speaking Competition and Western Region Choir Festival.
The recruit process for our advertised teaching position is still ongoing. After the first round of advertising, we did not have a teacher apply for the position. I have recently had a strong applicant come forward and I am currently negotiating the requirements of the position with them. I am hopeful of a solution in the coming weeks. While this process continues, we will fill the position casually and the students will be taught from the curriculum and school units as normal. The new teacher will continue to teach these planned units upon their arrival. This will ensure the education of our students is maintained to the very high standard we pride ourselves on.
The Clerical Administrator position is in the final stages of the recruitment process. There was an extremely positive response to the advertisement and an announcement will be coming in the next week.
St Mary’s is looking forward to another big term and if you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
Kind Regards,
Phil Nielsen
People who are gracious treat others with the tact, kindness, and respect that they deserve. They put others first and care more about listening than talking all the time. This reflects the notion that was presented at our Spirituality Day where Lee discussed the importance of dialogue. Having the courage to talk is crucial, however taking the time to be an active listener is essential rather than solely dictating the converstaion.
Gracious people give of their time, give of their love, and their efforts toward others cause improvement where needed. This can be aimed at close friends or can be extended to perfect strangers. It’s not always easy to be gracious in a world that can quickly frustrate you, but if you make an effort to have more grace in your everyday life, then you can start changing for the better.
Our deepest sympathy is extended to Mrs Sinead Turner and her family on the passing of her father. We pray that you are all surrounded by Gods comforting love.
