Leadership is worth valuing because it establishes order and stability that makes other people feel secure and safe. It provides a framework for people to cooperate productively and for people to thrive. A great leader is humble, willing to work hard and aims to bring out the best in the people they lead.

Leadership is the quality of being able to unite and influence groups for a common goal. This influence can be used for either good or bad – the outcome depends on the motivations and strength of character of the leader in question.

Jesus called us all to be leaders and to become more like him. In knowing this, the best example of leadership is Jesus. Jesus led his disciples by continually inviting and challenging them whilst providing encouragement. He also demonstrated the character and competency of humility through his ability to be a servant.

Jesus continually spoke about serving others. He never said to be the best, to be the first; actually, Jesus’s message was the exact opposite. We see this in the scripture John 13: 5-9, where Jesus washes his disciples' feet.

After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”

As authentic Christians leaders we aim to emulate and model our leadership on Jesus. We can do this by appreciating the firm foundation on which Jesus' lead others. This being through love, grace, and toward a better version of themselves. He did this in five ways.

He saw potential instead of perfection.
He forgave even before he was forsaken.
Jesus asked questions.
He served others rather than expecting to be served.
Jesus led with grace and accountability.

Leadership is challenging. It isn't always easy to make decisions and lead someone else to the best version of themselves. Jesus set an example of what it means to truly care for others, to lead them to a better tomorrow, and to encourage growth allowing others to flourish.

Census Collection

The Australian Government collects data on Non-goverment schools once a year. This data is used to ensure the school's funding is properly calculated and appropriately managed.

This year the collection will be completed on the 4th of August.

Please see the attached letter from the government which details the census information.

ICAS Assessments 2022 - Confirmed Sitting Dates

For students who have been nominated to take the ICAS tests this year the confirmed test dates for 2023 are:

- Writing - Monday 7 August
- Digital Technologies - Friday 11 August
- English - Monday 14 August
- Science - Monday 21 August
- Spelling Bee - Friday 25 August
- Mathematics - Monday 28 August

The ICAS test window for each test is open for one week, the week starts on a Monday. If your child does not attend school for either of the two Friday tests they will not be able to sit the test on another day. Please take note of the test days.

Please note that the test days could be subject to change at late notice.
