Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to Week 5. Another big week at St Mary’s, with lots happening!!
With the cold weather well and truly upon us please remember to clearly label your child’s items of clothing. The classrooms and building are nice and warm for the students, however when they step outside that’s not the case. If they’ve removed their jumper in their classroom, we need to make sure we can get it back to them as soon as possible. As the cold weather hits West Wyalong, a reminder that our St Mary’s beanies are available for purchase at the front office for $20. Audrey in Kinder Kind is modelling a beanie below for those who are not sure what they look like!!!
Still on the cold weather, a reminder to students to wear their full winter school uniform from next week. This includes ties!!!
A special welcome to Alex Muru who will start in 2 Mercy this week. We welcome you to the St Mary’s community and trust you will enjoy your time with us.
Our 2026 kindergarten information and tour will be held on Thursday the 26th of June. If you are aware of anyone interested in enrolling their child at St Mary’s in 2026 please let them know to attend!!!
Remember my door is always open.
Principal

Canberra Goulburn Archdiocese Trials
If your Year 5/6 child has the ability to compete at a representative level in the following sports - Netball, Football (Soccer), Softball, Touch Football and Rugby Union - you are able to nominate them for the Archdiocesan trials.
Please note that the Archdicocesan representative sport trials are highly competitve and there is an expectation that children nominating for these trials have extensive experience in the sport and currently compete at a high level.
If you would like to nominate your child to trial for a sport please go to https://csnsw.sport
St Mary's Athletics Carnival 2025
What a fantastic day we had! We definitely didn't let the rain dampen our fun! Congratulations to all the students on their amazing sportsmanship and behaviour. Age Champions and the House Cup winners will be announced at assembly on Friday.
The 1500m event was run today so we will not need to do it next Friday.
A Compass event will be sent out in the near future for those that have qualified for Wester Region Athletics.
Wagga Civic Theatre Presents Ratburger
Ratburger
Next Tuesday 3rd June (Week 6) Years 3 - 6 will be travelling to Wagga Civic Theatre to Watch Ratburger!
A play by Maryam Master based on the bestselling novel by David Walliams
From the creative mind of bestselling children’s author David Walliams (The World’s Worst Children, Gangsta Granny), don’t miss the screamingly funny Ratburger when it comes to life on stage, with visually stunning sets and charming puppetry!
Zoe lives with her dad and a stepmother who ignores her, the school bully makes her life a misery, and now, her pet hamster has died! When she befriends a loveable dancing rat named Dapper, things start looking up – but the evil Burt from Burt’s Burgers is cooking up an awful plan…
The cost of bus transport is covered by St Mary's, the theatre entry per student is $20 payable via the Compass event.
The bus will leave the school at 9am sharp and return to St Mary's between 4.30pm and 5pm. Parents will be advised of the arrival time via SeeSaw and text.
Students will need to wear their full winter uniform, bring their hat and all food required for the day - fruit break, recess, lunch, afternoon tea and a water bottle.
A Compass event has been sent out. Please action this as soon as possible.
If you know your child will be away on this day, please contact the school office.
